Mei Sann Lost Her Handphone

I received a call and the phone number showed "Glenise".I was wondering why Glenise called me, so I answered the call, and surprisingly Mei Sann was on phone

Mei Sann: shaun
Me: Hi
Mei Sann: This is Karen
Me: Huh! Hi Karen
Mei Sann: I am using my mum's handphone. I lost my handphone in the cinema.
Me: Oh! I see, too bad..
Mei Sann: ......
Me: How can you lost it? Or stealed by a pick pocket?
Mei Sann: No, I'm very sure I lost it inside the cinema just now,but I can't find it back. This is second time I lose my handphone.
Me: Hmmm, you lost all your contacts liao... you have to buy a new handphone again.
Mei Sann: Yalo, tomorrow I go maxis center to claim back my sim card and go to a handphone shop to buy the cheapest nokia model.
Me: Haha, you lost a handphone and my streamyx is line down... too bad

Believe it or not? Anyway, better to take note and to be more careful...

I received this message from my colleague, this message was in Chinese, it is a rough translation...

Broken Translation (If someone can so better, then please do help!!)

"I felt the real need to tell everyone :

A while ago heard that my friend's brother-in law's mother was cheated of
350,000. And today, this thing happened to me, until now, when I think of
it, I still feel numb all over. Only difference is that they did not
manage to cheat my money.

This afternoon, I was still in the office on my computer when my handphone
rang, I picked it up, but no answer on the other side. I hung up, but it
rang again, I looked but there was no registered no, I picked up the phone
and again no one on line. This happened for many many time, I did hear some
soft voices of a few man on the other side but could not hear exactly what
they are saying. This went on and on, my phone just did not stop ringing.
Then I remembered what I read in the newspapers and decided to call home.
But I kept calling and could not get through to my house no and no one
picked up on my mother's handphone. Meantime, my handphone did not stop
ringing. I was getting really worried and finally managed to get through
to
home and my mother picked up the phone. She was crying and kept asking me
where I was. When I told her I was at the office, she would not believe me
and I needed to reassure her that yes, I am in the office.

I found out that someone called my mother telling them that I borrowed
120,000 from them and asked her to bring that money immediately for my
release. They even had someone screaming at the side pretending to be me
"Mum, I am xxxx, come save me quick"... My mother was so scared and the
party kept my mother on the line with a lot of rubbish, refusing to let her
hang up. Kept telling my mother to prepare the money to save me. Luckily I
called home, other wise my mother would have gone to prepare the money.

Please be careful.....

1. The cheaters thought that if they keep calling my handphone, I will
feel really annoyed n switch off my handphone then my mother will not be
able to contact me.

2. The cheaters must have also kept her on the phone all the time so as
not to give her time to call me to confirm my safety.

Please go home and tell your family, so if they meet the same situation, do
not worry, do not panic. Call around to check, many phones you can use. If
your handphone also ring non-stop like mine, do not switch off your hand
phone. Call home immediately to check. Let your family know that you are ok."

My streamyx line was down

I can't online to check my email yesterday because my streamyx broadband line was down. I called the support center on phone to ask for helps. The operator helped me to troubleshoot the errors by using direct connect, avoid using splitter, check the router modem lighting, on and off those connection devices, blah blah blah.... But ending still I cant connect the Internet. I have to check my emails and write a post for my blog in the office today. After works, I have to call the TMNET support center and make a report to request a technical guy to my house to fix the line.

There was lucky draw during the luncheon, but I was not lucky enough to grab a prize. Kena shoot by customers!

Before I left the office. I just checked my email, and received an email from my customer. The title is Ticketing!! Alamak! I got scored by this trouble customer. Arggg! spoiled my mood for this coming weekend holidays already.

Shuan,

As per the link given, sorry to say that, I didn't see any different with the previous. As per the email I sent to you on the final job list on sgcom, I have mentioned all the details we want, but it seems like nothing has been handle. If you don't mind, please let me have a list of changes you have done and what you UNABLE to do, so that it will be easier for me to tell SGCOM (don't forget, when I talk to SGCOM, I'm representing PROMOBILE, not PANG or somebody else).

As promised earlier, we will settle the ticketing on or before 15/12/2007, but today already 20/12/2007, and still can't officially sell the tickets, who is the final person to respond to this matter, please teach me how to handle SGCOM, PLEASE.

Shell Citibank Credit Card - A Cash Draining Card

I just received a forwarded email from my colleague, I am a Citibank credit card user and I am not anti-citibank. Hehehe....

Are you fancy of getting a credit card that offers 5% rebate on shell petrol and 1.5% rebate on other purchases?
If your answer is yes, then you are draining your money away!
The newly launched Shell Citibank credit card is not as good as its sounds - to enjoy the rebate, you must have a carry forward balance. Yes, a carry forward balance that you have to pay Citibank 18% interest per annum. But that's is not all, your so called 'rebate' is based on your current month spending. That means if you have a carry forward of RM10,000 but did not use the card at all for the current month, you get 'zero' rebate.
To be precise, this 'rebate' card is an old card - it has been around for about 2 years. But now taking advantage of the fuel cost concern, Citibank co-branded it with Shell.
This is how the rebate scheme works:
· First, you need to have a carry forward balance. The amount of that carry forward determines the rebate rate (%) that the card holder is getting.
· Then based on your current month spend, you will get the rebate (as shown by the rebate table above) - your rebate is not based on your total carry forward balance. Repeat: your rebate is not based on your total carry forward balance, but current month spending
In short, to get your 'rebate' you must have at least of RM2,000 outstanding balance in you card AND continue use the card. The outstanding balance is the net of previous month balance minus current month payment. If you do that, every month you will be paying RM30.00, or RM360 a year for the minimum RM2,000 outstanding balance.
Let's do a simple math here:
If you spend RM500/mth on shell petrol and your classic card has a RM2,000 outstanding balance, at 1.5%, you are getting RM7.50 as 'rebate', while at the same time, paying RM30.00 for the interest. The 'nett' profit for Citibank is RMRM22.50. Your are essentially "over paying" 4 times the price (30/7.5)
To 'break even' (so that your RM30.00 interest payment = rebate value), you need to pump RM2,000 shell petrol a month, or charge RM6,000 a month for non-shell related purchases.
The USD100.00 per barrel of crude oil won't kills you, but the Citi-Shell card will.

First time at The Pavilion

I went shopping with Mei Sann at The Pavilion one fine day (yesterday).FYI, this was my first visit to Pavilion, The 5 star shopping mall.As u notice, many ppl were talking bout this "Pavilion" including my ex-colleague, Chye. There was a costume show(xmas music with dancers dressed in extragavant costumes, as fancy as the ones in "The Phantom of The Opera") on the stage, and the ground floor was rather crowded. We had tasty soup with toast bread at a cafe near the stage while enjoying the costume show on the ground floor. Mei Sann ordered a mutton soup, and I ordered Tom Yam Kung soup.Yummy!!!! We spent almost 4 hours shopping there(Retail therapy can keep fit!!!!). I bought a rice facial mask at The Skin Food Kiosk. Mei Sann told me that The SkinFood product is not bad, so I just bought and tried it.Hopefully this mask works wonders for my skin... Muahaha!!!

Finished the demo on time

As promised to boss that I will finish the demo for him, so when I reached office the I quickly amended the program. I managed to finish its in 2 hours time, and I migrate the application into his notebook. He bring along his notebook with the demo to Singapore to present to UOB Life, project managers and marketing team also went together.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly and no bad comments from UOB Life to the demo. My boss and the marketing teams will be back to KL on this Sunday. Good lucks guys....

Today overtime in the office

Today kinda tired day, I was stayed in the office to rush a demo for UOB Life until 10PM. My boss wants to bring the demo to Singapore to do the presentation on this coming Friday, so I have to finish all the required modules and functions. Finally, I still can't finish the amendment because not enough time to do, and I gotta rush to LRT to take train, then stop at KL central station to exchange RapidKL bus and back to Puchong.

I promised my boss to be continued tomorrow early morning, and get the demo done by Friday. Staffs not entitled to claim an OT, therefore, I seldom work so late in the office. I hate no OT claim coz its not fair for staff who works extra hours.

The World Says Merry Christmas

Japan (Kurisumasu Omedeto!): The Japanese people borrowed Christmas and made it their own. Hoteiosho, a kind old man, carries a huge pack with gifts for children. (With eyes in the back of his head, he sees who is naughty or nice.) Many Japanese embrace the Western traditions that were introduced by Christian missionaries. Others take the secular festivities over the top with massive light displays, decorations seemingly everywhere, evergreens and mistletoe hanging and almost anyone and anything dressed for the season (as shown). Come Christmas, families present gifts and sing carols, and some people also enjoy turkey dinner.

Editor's Note: Translations of "Merry Christmas" are by Merry Christmas From FLW in 350+ Languages (http://www.flw.com/merry.htm).

Christmas is comming soon, how are you going to celebrate your Christmas? I plan to go to Swiss Garden Hotel with Mei Sann. There got event party to celebrate Xmas, and we will have dinner buffet in Swiss Garden.
